General Questions

  • What services does Event-Tenders provide?

We provide professional mobile bar services, including wedding bartending, event bartending, corporate bartending, signature cocktail development, multi-station operations.

  • What areas do you serve?

Our primary service area includes Jacksonville, St Augustine, Ponte Vedra, Orange Park, Fernandina Beach, greater Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. For events outside these areas, contact us and we will evaluate travel logistics.

  • Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Event-Tenders maintains liquor and liability insurance, and staff certifications required for professional alcohol service. Certificates of insurance and additional insured can be provided upon request for venues that require them.

Booking & Availability

  • How far in advance should I book?

For peak dates (weekends, holidays, and popular wedding months), we highly recommend booking minimum of 4-6 months in advance, ideally as soon as your date and venue are confirmed. For weekday or off-season events, availability may be easier to secure on shorter notice.

  • Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A deposit secures your date and reserves staffing and equipment. The deposit amount and final payment schedule are outlined in your service agreement.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation policies are provided in our contracts and vary by event. Generally, cancellations are non-refundable and forfeit the deposit. We advise reviewing the agreement carefully.

Service Models and Pricing

  • How do you price events?

Pricing depends on guest count, hours of service, the number of bartenders required, travel, beverage supply model, and any specialty requirements such as multiple stations. We provide itemized quotes to ensure transparency.

  • Can you work with a vendor or venue-supplied bar?

Yes — we commonly coordinate with venues and caterers to integrate our service. We will confirm any venue rules and ensure compliance.

Staffing Questions

  • How many bartenders do I need?

Typical recommendation is 1 bartender per 75 guests for open bar services, with at least one bar-back per 125–150 guests.  For specific events—festival, wedding, cocktail parties—staffing recommendations will be customized.

  • Are your bartenders trained in responsible service?

Yes. All staff undergo responsible service training, ID checks protocols, and are trained on de-escalation and emergency procedures.

  • Do you accept tips?

Yes. Gratuity policies are outlined in your contract. If you choose to tip, bartenders appreciate cash tips. For corporate events, tips can be added as a gratuity line on the invoice upon prior agreement.

Logistics & Setup

  • How much space do you need for a portable bar?

A standard portable bar requires a footprint of approximately 12 by 12 feet, including space for staff circulation behind the bar. Complex setups may require more area — we will verify space needs during planning.

  • What amenities or utilities do you need from the venue?

Lighting and a tent or some type of over-head coverage for outdoor events. Access to a sink would be helpful, but is not mandatory.

  • What does setup and breakdown look like?

Setup typically takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the complexity of the event. Our team arrives within the scheduled load-in window, sets up the bar and service stations, and coordinates with venue staff to ensure everything runs smoothly. After the event, we handle the breakdown, remove all equipment, and manage waste disposal as agreed upon in the contract..

Permits & Legal

  • Do you handle permits for public venues?

We do not handle permits, but we can provide insurance certificates if required by the venue.

  • What if someone becomes intoxicated?

Our staff is trained to identify signs of intoxication and refuse further alcohol service.

Yes. Our mixologist will collaborate with you to design cocktails aligned with your event theme, flavor preferences, and presentation needs.

  • Do you offer non-alcoholic options?

Absolutely. We design beautiful, sophisticated mocktails, sparkling non-alcoholic beverages, and fruit-infused water stations tailored for daytime events or alcohol-free guests.
